Simply the greatest. An example not only as a footballer but as a person. We will not see his like again. Rest in Peace, Sir Tom.

Sir Tom Finney was one of the greatest players of English football that has ever lived. He will be remembered for his skill, goals and the way he played the game. A Gentleman of football that should be a role model for any player that tries to play HIS game. Rest in peace to the greatest player, man and gentleman that Preston has ever seen.

Few people deserve the title they are given in any era. Sir Tom commanded some much love from those who knew or knew of him. The city is a greater place for you being born here, god bless you and thanks for everything that you gave us throughout your fantastic life. Goodbye to a true legend.

I was fortunate to see Tom play when I was young boy, he was my footballing idol. I met him later after his retirement when he was chairman of the Royal Preston Hospital. He was the perfect gentleman and always had a kind word of encouragement for everyone. A true role model for any aspiring person, sportsman or otherwise. God Bless you Tom. Your memory will always be with us.
